Some snapshots of our first Christmas together!
O Tannenbaum.....
We were very excited when we found a six foot tree for less than a little Charlie Brown. We had a few bulbs but our tree was really transformed just a few days before Christmas (thanks mom!).
We made gingerbread houses with Garrett's family, lots of fun to sit down with all the kiddos. Though I probably ate more of the candy than they did.
Garrett and I had four kids....
After which Garrett promptly ate one of them.
As this is our first Christmas together we wanted to try building some of our own traditions. We came up with the idea to try making caramels and black licorice (I wanted to try caramels, and Garrett is a fan of black licorice) neither of which we had ever made before. We dubbed the adventure a success.
The final product. Don't be fooled, it's corn syrup disguised as asparagus.
Here's wishing you a merry Christmas!
Love, the Bensons
