"When you trust your television, what you get is what you got. Because when they own the information they can bend it all they want.
It's not that we don't care. We just know that the fight ain't fair, so we keep waiting. Waiting on the world to change."
-John Mayer

I have been feeling a lot of fear and anxiety over the changes taking place. With the help of the Lord and a loving husband I am slowly realizing that what I am afraid of is the unknown. I was afraid because I was putting my trust in my "television" as Mayer would say. In other words, trusting in man and not God. Nephi explains further in 2 Nephi 4: 34:
This came with a more clear understanding of what it means to have faith. I'd like to think that my own personal "waiting on the world to change" can be interpreted as having faith. Having trust in the Lord that if I keep my covenants with Him and have the necessary faith, He will never leave me abandoned. Everything single test and trial that the Lord puts me through is for my own good.
May we be steadfast and firm in our faith just as Nephi was. Let us keep waiting, not for the world to change, but for the Lord to change the world through His faithful servants.
May we be steadfast and firm in our faith just as Nephi was. Let us keep waiting, not for the world to change, but for the Lord to change the world through His faithful servants.
“Faith precedes the miracle...Remember that faith and doubt cannot exist in the same mind at the same time, for one will dispel the other. Cast out doubt. Cultivate faith.”
-Thomas S. Monson
