20 Weeks: It's a Boy!

3/9/15

It's been a good day!

Sunday marked the half-way point for baby boy! Twenty weeks down, twenty to go (give or take).

In comparing this photo with the one I took last month it's a little unsettling for me haha. Baby is definitely showing now, and it's no wonder I've had an increase in back pain! So much change in so little time!

We actually found out that it was a boy about three weeks ago from a friend who just wanted some practice doing a pregnancy ultrasound. I just got back from my official 20 week diagnostic ultrasound and I am feeling on top of the world right now, we are certainly blessed. It was so good to see our baby boy, and have some proof!

What a cool experience. It's kind of surreal to actually see what is going on. It definitely makes me feel more connected to the life that is growing inside me.

On top of the hearing that baby is doing well, I found out today that a Hypnobabies class opened up that will work for mine, Garrett's, and baby's schedule. Hallelujah! I was getting frustrated because I couldn't find a class anywhere, and while home-study is a great option, I really wanted to have the live class experience for my first pregnancy.

I have experienced several amazing milestones these past few weeks. At about 17 weeks, I felt the baby move for the first time. We were at a friends house playing some video games. I was leaning forward sitting on the couch and I felt something flip in my lower abdomen. I looked at Garrett and said, I think I just felt the baby move! We've been rock'n in roll'n since then. About a week and a half later Garrett was able to feel the baby move, it's still very faint but he definitely felt a kick.
